This instrument is the perfect 3/4 size tub. It was designed especially for Elementary and Junior High School Instrumental music programs under the influence and guidance of Prof. Daniel Perantoni of Indiana University (Worldwide Tuba Artist and Educator). 

The Sanders Etude features a 15 1/4" bell, 3 or 4 rotary valves with solid construction that is very durable and designed for easy repair. All repair parts are readily available from Custom Music. The rotary valves with uniball linkage are a great advantage for younger students with smaller hands. The valves are easier to operate with a shorter stroke rotary valve when compared to piston valve tubas. The Etude features a .700 bore and is 38" in height. The tuba features fantastic intonation (no alternate fingerings required) and even quick response throughout the entire register. The large bore gives a relatively big sound that will provide a solid bass to any band. Although this instrument was designed for younger players the 4 valve Etude works especially well in any high school situation. 

The recommended mouthpieces for this tuba are: PT-36, PT-84, PT-42 and PT-44.
